How do I book a StayJC property?
You can book any of our properties directly through stayjerseycity.com. Click any property listing, choose your dates, and complete the booking. Direct booking saves you the 15–20% service fee that Airbnb and VRBO add on top of the nightly rate.
How much can I save by booking direct vs. Airbnb?
On a typical 4-night stay, guests save $80–$200 by booking directly with StayJC instead of through Airbnb or VRBO. The exact savings depend on the property and dates, but you always skip the 15–20% service fee that third-party platforms charge.
How far is Jersey City from Manhattan?
Most StayJC properties are 25–30 minutes from Midtown and Lower Manhattan via the PATH train. Journal Square is the most connected — direct PATH service runs every few minutes to 33rd Street, World Trade Center, Christopher Street, and 9th Street.
What neighborhoods do StayJC properties cover?
StayJC operates in three Jersey City neighborhoods: Journal Square (most connected, PATH access), Bergen-Lafayette (historic brownstones, arts scene), and Jersey City Heights (tree-lined, skyline views). Each offers a different vibe but all are within 30 minutes of Manhattan.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Standard check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are sometimes available — just ask when you book and we will accommodate if the schedule allows.
Are pets allowed?
Pet policies vary by property. Some StayJC listings are pet-friendly with a small pet fee; others are pet-free. Check the individual listing page or email help@stayjerseycity.com before booking with a pet.
Is parking available?
Street parking is generally available in Jersey City and free overnight. A few properties include a dedicated parking spot — this is noted on the listing page. For PATH commuters, on-street parking near the train works well.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies are listed on each property page and shown during checkout. Most properties offer a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before check-in. Direct bookings often have more flexible policies than the same property on Airbnb.
Do you charge a cleaning fee?
Yes — a one-time cleaning fee is added per stay, shown clearly during booking. Cleaning fees cover professional housekeeping after your stay and are typical for short-term rentals.
Is WiFi included? What about utilities?
Yes. Every StayJC property includes high-speed WiFi, all utilities (electric, gas, water), bath linens, kitchen essentials, and starter supplies — included in the nightly rate at no extra cost.
Are StayJC properties the same ones on Airbnb?
Yes. The properties you see here are the same ones listed on Airbnb and VRBO. Same property, same host, same quality — without the third-party service fee. Booking direct also gives you faster, more direct communication.
How do I get from Newark Airport (EWR) to Jersey City?
From EWR, take the AirTrain to Newark Liberty Station, then NJ Transit to Newark Penn Station, then a 10-minute Uber or PATH connection to Journal Square. Total time is about 40 minutes. A direct Uber/Lyft from EWR takes 20–25 minutes.
