Welcome to BoCation — a bohemian-inspired 3-bedroom escape in Bergen-Lafayette designed for families, friend trips, and remote-work-friendly long weekends. Memory-foam beds, two Roku TVs, and a fully stocked kitchen meet curated boho design across three uniquely styled bedrooms.
The open main floor sets the tone: a comfortable gray sofa, terracotta tufted pillows, and a kitchen island wrapped in star-pattern tile and gold-legged orange barstools. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances, a 5-burner gas range, and a dedicated coffee & tea station with a Keurig, Starbucks pods, and Tazo selection.
Each bedroom carries its own design story — one rooted in industrial-cognac warmth, one in a soft city-skyline mural, and one in coral-and-rattan boho. Two of the bedrooms include dedicated workdesks, and the Wi-Fi handles real video calls.

Ein schön eingerichtetes und gemütliches Apartment. Perfekt für 5 Personen.
Zum World Trade Center benötigt man mit Bus und Bahn circa eine halbe Stunde. Bis zum Time Square dauert es eine Stunde.
Bushaltestelle und Supermarkt in der Nähe vorhanden.
Zara ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die für alle Anliegen einen Tipp hat.
Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Hola. Me hospedé hace unos días con mi familia y el hogar de Zara es un gran lugar para hospedarse al ir a Nueva York, ya que se ubica en una zona súper accesible para visitarlo. Para ello se debe tomar un bus o uber si lo prefieres (esa fue mi opción y se demoraba unos 12-15 minutos en vehículo particular) que te acerque al PATH (metro de Nueva Jersey) y posteriormente tomar el subway (metro de Nueva York) hacia la estación que necesites. Otra cosa super importante es que hay un supermercado cerca, a unas 3-4 cuadras, con precios adecuados para abastecerse de productos y ahorrar dinero. Finalmente comentar que Zara es una excelente anfitriona, muy atenta y responde muy rápido cualquier consulta que se tenga. El lugar era exacto a las fotografías y las descripciones correspondían a lo que se señalaba en el anuncio. Recomiendo este lugar sin dudas.

I had a wonderful, wonderful time at Zara’s place. The apartment is amazing with lots of space for whole family. My family loved being there and said they felt right at home. The bedrooms have comfy bed and nice workstations. The kitchen is super amazing with all the necessary equipments for cooking full fledge meal twice a day. Zara is the sweetest host I will say. She is super friendly and keeps great care of her guests. Finally the location is superb for somebody who wants to explore NYC and stay away from the hustle in a peaceful environment with family. The most lovable part for me and my family was going to Exchange place pier which is only 15 minutes away from the place and gives a beautiful skyline view of Manhattan, better than the view from ferry. Lastly, the metro and train connections are really nice and easy which in my opinion is extremely important in visiting NYC. Will come back here for sure !

Le gros point négatif est le quartier. Malheureusement il y a eut une fusillade à quelques rues, même si c’est exceptionnel et que cela n’incombe pas à l’hôte, il est important de souligner qu’il s’agit d’un quartier TRÈS populaire. Pour une famille avec des enfants cela a été tres éprouvant, il s’agit d’un quartier qui n’est pas adapté pour une famille.

We chose Zara’s Airbnb because of how family friendly it is! (3 adults , 2 kids, and 1dog) We stayed for two nights and this listing fit all of our needs. The host was proactive with helping us set up Disney+ on the tv 🙌🏼 And recommended an awesome local restaurant to us. He also told us about American Dream Mall which we will definitely be coming back to in the future 🎡 If you are traveling as a family with kids, ask the host for kid friendly places 👍🏼

Zara was an outstanding host. The check-in was super easy and Zara was very caring, consistently checking up if the check in ran smoothly and if we were having a comfortable stay in the accommodation. The apartment was very clean and had a very welcoming touch, making it easy for us to feel at home. The surrounding area of the apartment did make us feel a bit uneasy when walking around during the dark, so maybe not ideal for a girls trip, but that is something completely out of Zara‘s control. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the One World Trade Center by public transportation.
At check out, Zara helped us organize a storage for our luggage, as our flight was in the late evening.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and an excellent host.

The Airbnb was very beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. A great place to rest after a long and hot day in the city. The hostess quickly responded and addressed any issues and questions we had. She worked with us with the check-in timing because our flight got in early.
The only downside was that we didn’t feel comfortable as a group of girls to walk back from the bus to the Airbnb. We kept getting followed and hollered at but nothing the host can do about that.

The apartment was tastefully decorated. Especially the desk and working station in the two bedrooms where my sons comfortably worked with their laptops. The neighborhood is definitely authentic to us. It took us sometime to sink in. In the evening, many of the locals were outside. There was no noise late at night so we slept quite well. We had a wonderful 7 day stay at Zara’s place. The amenities are just as described and the apartment is very homely, spacious and clean; the kitchen has everything you need and the AC works well. The area is quiet and the neighbours are very friedly, too.
There is a big supermarket just 5 minutes away and the light rail station that takes you to the Path and into Manhattan is also very close.
(Just as a word of advice; don’t get a 7 day Metro ticket for the NY subway and use the tapp function with your credit card instead as it will be free after 12 rides, it took us a few days to figure out and we probably wasted a bit of money.)
Zara was very quick to respond to our messages and let us drop off our luggage early before check in. It was a five star experience for us and we would love to be back. Thank you for everything, Zara!

It is located in a neighbourhood that felt safe, and an easy commute to Jornal Square via Uber and then catch the Path train into Manhattan. After spending the day in the busyness of NYC, it was lovely to come back to a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 teen boys! The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. We didn’t have a can opener and she had Amazon bring one less than 12 hours later. I was very pleased with the quick response time to any question that came up. Easily the best host I have ever stayed with. I would highly recommend this location if you’re visiting this area. Public parking is few and far between, and the neighborhood seemed like it may not be the best, but we had zero problem whatsoever with our visit. The house had security which made us feel ease. La casa de Zara cumple con todo lo que ofrece, la tiene muy bien amueblada, decorada y equipada. New Jersey no es una ciudad nueva, por lo que con lo que cuenta la estructura de la casa, el Airbnb de Zara está muy bien cuidado.
Zara nos respondió rápidamente siempre que necesitamos algo de información, nos escribió sólo para darnos la bienvenida y las veces que solicitamos su ayuda para referencias. Por lo demás, estuvimos muy tranquilos.
Recomendamos su apartamento para una agradable estadía, en nuestro caso familiar (con nuestros hijos adolescentes).

Wir hatten einen absolut wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft! Vom ersten Moment an war alles perfekt: Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war schnell, herzlich und professionell. Der Check-in verlief völlig unkompliziert, und wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen.
Die Wohnung ist nicht nur makellos sauber, sondern auch mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – stilvoll, gemütlich und gleichzeitig sehr funktional. Alles, was man braucht, war vorhanden: voll ausgestattete Küche, bequeme Betten, schnelles WLAN und sogar kleine Extras wie frischer Kaffee und Tee.
Die Lage war ideal – ruhig und trotzdem zentral. Supermärkte und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel waren in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, und durch die Anbindung mit dem öffentlichen Nahverkehr war war innerhalb von 30 Minuten in Manhattan.
Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt! 🙏✨

Die Kommunikation mit Zara war hervorragend – alles lief reibungslos und sie hat sehr schnell geantwortet. Die Betten waren außergewöhnlich bequem (was wirklich selten vorkommt), und auch die Einrichtung insgesamt war sehr gemütlich und einladend. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir leider festgestellt, dass einige Dinge nicht ganz festmontiert waren – das war an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas nervig. Die Wohnung sieht auf den Bildern toll aus, was auch der Realität entspricht – allerdings merkt man, dass sie schon arg in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Küche ist solide ausgestattet, könnte jedoch mit dem ein oder anderen zusätzlichen Utensil noch praktischer sein. Die Lage ist in Ordnung, wenn auch nicht perfekt. Mit Kindern empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Die Parkplatzsuche kann etwas mühsam sein, und man sollte unbedingt darauf achten, korrekt zu parken – sonst kann es teuer werden. Ein „5-Sterne-Aufenthalt“ war es für uns definitiv nicht, aber insgesamt in Ordnung.

I’m giving this a 4-star review based on my personal preference. I can see why many people enjoyed this place, but it just wasn’t the best fit for me.
The space does resemble the photos, but not fully. The building is older, which makes it feel a bit dated. Not Zara’s fault, but something the pictures can’t really show. If I had known that, I probably would have chosen differently. I was looking for a more “picture-ready” spot with things like a full-length mirror, but the one provided was oddly placed and didn’t serve that purpose.
When I first walked in, the unit had an unpleasant bathroom smell, almost like toilet water. While having three bedrooms was nice, overall the stay felt a bit overpriced for what it was.
From a safety/convenience standpoint, I don’t recommend staying here with a car. Street parking is available but not guaranteed, and as a woman traveling solo, I didn’t always feel comfortable walking several blocks at night. It also wasn’t easy/quick getting to/from NY.

Zara était réactive même si nous aurions préféré la rencontrer. Nous avions eu l’information qu’il y avait un local lave-linge et sèche-linge mais ce n’était pas le cas.
Il manquait des ustensiles pour pouvoir cuisiner , nous avons eu une livraison Amazon . Peut être que Zara pourrait faire le point sur ce qui manque dans la cuisine.
Il n’y a pas de table pour 6 personnes alors que le logement est prévu pour 6 voyageurs.
La situation reste quand même éloignée pour visiter Manhattan ( plutôt 1h que 30 mn annoncé)
Il vaut mieux le savoir.
Nous avons apprécié de revenir au calme après nos journées à visiter Manhattan qui est une ville géniale.
Nous reviendrons mais prendrons un logement proche du Path pour plus de confort.

Vom Appartement ist man schnell an der Straßenbahn und mit Umsteigen in den Path Downtowm am World Trade Center.
Zara war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns in allem geholfen -wir hatten ein kleines Problem mit der großen Bettdecke für 2 Personen und haben sofort eine weitere bekommen.
Das Appartement hat alles, was man benötig, ist sehr gemütlich -nach langen Stadttouren haben wir sehr gut geschlafen.

The apartment was clean and cute, though technically old, for example the floors creaked. It was mostly equipped with things needed for life. One of our kids said it was the best kitchen he has ever used to cook. The only things that we missed in the kitchen were a teapot and more bowls. The neighborhood was ok, except all the garbage in the streets. Distance to Manhattan (WTC) was really around half an hour as in the description, but the fact that you needed to take two trains or a bus and a train to get there, and New Jersey transport isn't in the same system with NY transport and not even with the trains and ferries crossing the Hudson River, added 10€/day per person to travel costs, making the total several hundreds of euros higher than expected with accommodation a bit out of NY. Travelling with kids you should carefully read the instructions who can ride free and where as the rules in NJ, NY and the PATH trains are all different and in NJ vary depending even on the weekday.
